Akron Racers encourage community to 'strike out' cancer May 29

The Akron Racers will turn its baseball cleats for bowling shoes at Stonehedge Family Fun Center May 29 for the Strike Out Cancer charity event. Members of the Akron Racers professional softball team and coaching staff will be in attendance for bowling.

 

They have the skills for softball, but can they bowl? Residents who attend the event will find out. The cost is $10 per person, and group rates are available for a group of four for $35. Check-in is at 6 p.m. and the event start at 6:30 p.m. and complete once all bowlers are finished. The registration fee includes two games of bowling and shoes.

 

All proceeds will benefit Akron Racers Charities, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides financial support to Akron General Medical Center's Muffins for Mammogram program that provides mammograms for uninsured men and women in our community.
