PathFinders will host a Dining to Donate event Tuesday, Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Chapel Hill Applebee’s on Howe Avenue, with proceeds benefiting the annual P.A.T.H. to the Summit Awareness Faire.
In partnership with TNT, Inc., the Faire takes place on the last Saturday in July (July 30). At the Faire, agencies staff tables with information about their programs and various activities are available for attendees. The goal is to bring pertinent information to individuals in the community that address the concerns of P.A.T.H.
Organizers are planning on service providers to host tables such as: Akron Summit Community Action (ASCA, Inc.), Boys & Girls Club of Western Reserve, College Now and Harmony House. The committee is also working on bringing free food and free activities to the annual event. In previous years, participants enjoyed Subway, Chick fil A, boxing, line dancing, zumba, mobile agricultural lab and the zoo mobile, among other activities. In order to plan a successful event, organizers are attempting to raise $5,000 by June 1.
In order for PathFinders to benefit from the dining at Applebee’s, customers must present the attached flyer to the waiter or waitress when placing an order. Those ordering by phone for takeout must present it to the Carside Specialist before placing the order. Applebee’s will donate 15 percent of the check to PathFinders.
