Summit County Children Services (SCCS) will host a free Foster Care and Adoption Information Meeting Wednesday, May 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Highland Square Branch Library, 807 W. Market St.
Residents who attend the information meeting will learn a variety of details about foster care and adoption, including how long the process is, what kind of support is provided by the agency, and the minimal costs involved with adopting a child through a public agency such as Summit County Children Services (NOTE: SCCS charges no fees for adoption services).
Agency staff will be available to share basic information about the children who need foster or adoptive homes. This event is free and open to the entire community and reservations are not needed. For info, visit www.summitkids.org.
