The Vet Art Project, Dec. 4, is open to young adults ages 9 through 16 and includes a personalized tour of the museum’s collection at 6:30 p.m. The tour finishes in the art studio downstairs, where they’ll make art and share stories.
Don’t worry if you’re not artistic: no artistic ability is necessary to take part. The program is for those young people from a military family or for those who have a relative in their extended family (or family friend) who has or is serving in the military.
For those who will be driving the young people, touring the museum collection is free (every Thursday it’s free), and there’s a cafe in the museum that serves coffee and other refreshments.
The program is offered monthly, and has included the Women Warriors Project and Male Veterans Night.
Although the program is free, registration is encouraged. To register, e-mail [email protected] or call
