The Akron Farm & Flea will continue this Sunday, July 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside of Musica and Urban Eats, 51 E. Market St.
The market takes place the second Sunday of the month through September, and will feature live music, vintage goods, food trucks, produce, giant games and yoga. The theme of the next installment is “Bike & Brew,” with Blimp City Bike & Hike and Hoppin Frog Brewery.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a bicycle.
“I created the market with the intention of creating activity downtown during the morning/afternoon on the weekends when there ordinarily is little to none,” says Urban Eats Co-owner Liz Tyran, who is partnering with Crafty Mart and Countryside Conservancy. “So even though the market will only be held on four Sundays this summer, it is meant to act as a catalyst to produce more market-like or other community-friendly type events to draw people downtown during those times.”
Akron Farm & Flea is a collaboration between Urban Eats & Musica, Crafty Mart, and Countryside Conservancy.
