Nonprofit will operate as Community Action Akron Summit
— Akron Summit Community Action, Inc. (ASCA), a nonprofit, private corporation dedicated to reducing poverty and promoting self-sufficiency in Summit County, announced that it will change its name to Community Action Akron Summit.
With the change comes the launch of a new brand and logo, the purpose of which is to better reflect the organization’s overall mission and the community it serves, according to the nonprofit, which adds that although the brand identity of ASCA is changing, its programs and services will not.
The nonprofit says the goal of the name change is to help families new to the area, along with external audiences, identify the organization and seek services if needed.
The new logo is meant to represent a reflection of where the organization has been and where its headed, the organization adds. The public will start to see the new brand appear on signs and various other media over the next few months.
