Chances are you have favorite T-shirts at home, and hopefully there’s an Akron-based T-shirt among that collection.
The Akron Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau is making a pitch to all 330 residents and employers to show their area pride through wearing locally themed T-shirts to work on 330 Day – Friday, March 30.
Residents are encouraged to break out old favorites like high school, little league, or local band tees, or to purchase a new shirt from one of Akron’s many T-shirt producers or retailers.
330 Shirt Day will be accompanied by a social media campaign highlighting businesses that make and sell Summit County themed shirts. Those participating also are encouraged to use the hashtag, #330ShirtDay, to discuss their favorite local shirts are and what they may wear.
“Dress down days are far and few in between here at the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau,” said bureau President & CEO, Gregg Mervis. “I can think of no better way to show our 330 pride.”
