The Akron Youth Symphony will present its fall concert on Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. at the East Community Learning Center.
The symphony, under the direction of Eric Benjamin, will perform Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, Prokofiev’s Suite from Lt. Kije’ and Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances No. 17 from Prince Igor.
This year’s youth symphony comprises 71 musicians representing 28 schools in Northeast Ohio. The full orchestra performs major orchestral repertoire in a minimum of three public performances at various venues each season. Members of the professional Akron Symphony Orchestra serve as coaches for the Akron Youth Symphony, assisting students in developing their performance skills and preparing the challenging repertoire.
Tickets, which are required for the performance, are $10; children ages 10 and under are free. Seating is general admission. Tickets may be purchased through the Akron Symphony box office by calling 330.535.8131.
The East Community Learning Center is located at 80 Brittain Road in Akron.

• Sunday, Jan. 29, 3 p.m. at the Tallmadge High School Auditorium. The Akron Youth Symphony and Akron Youth Philharmonic will perform.
• Sunday, March 19, 3 p.m. at the Tallmadge High School Auditorium. The Akron Youth Symphony and Akron Youth Philharmonic will present a Side by Side Concert.
• Sunday, May 7, 3 p.m. at the Giese Center for the Performing Arts at University of Mt. Union.
