Representatives from ArtsNow and Cuyahoga Falls Better Block joined Collide: Cuyahoga Falls, a new arts and culture initiative, to host an energy-filled room of creatives and arts supporters at the Cashmere Cricket on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Executive Director of ArtsNow Nicole Mullet said, “ArtsNow is thrilled with the response we have had from Cuyahoga Falls! Molly Hartong and Matt Weiss [of Collide] have been instrumental in positioning the arts and culture sector in the Falls as an agent of change. ArtsNow will continue to support and encourage those incredible efforts.”
A brief agenda for the evening gave the gathering of around 50 attendees an opportunity to receive an update about the CF Better Block project from two of the organizers, Getta Cornici and Samantha Coldwell. Guests also crafted love letters to Cuyahoga Falls with Amber Genet of #DearCF.
Also, throughout the room, questions regarding the art and culture scene in Cuyahoga Falls were posted and attendees were asked to give feedback. “We are very happy with the way everyone participated throughout the night.” said Hartong. “There were a lot of great ideas flying around the room!”
It was a great night! Partnering with groups like ArtsNow and CF Better Block to bring people together builds on the excitement within and about our community.
A big “thank you” to Jimmy and the staff at the Cashmere Cricket for being such great hosts! And of course, thank you to all that attended! Please stay tuned and stay involved!
