Sales have begun for tickets to see A Thousand Horses, May 8 at the Dusty Armadillo, in Rootstown. The event is a part of a Charity Concert Series put on by FM 94.9 WQMX to support local organizations and charities. Tickets are $10 each, and the concert begins at 8:30 p.m.
The net proceeds benefit Stewart’s Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center located in Akron. Stewart’s Caring Place is a nonprofit center that provides support services, free-of charge, to individuals and families who need help throughout their journey with cancer.
The concert precedes Stewart’s annual Hope Walk on Saturday, May 9, to raise money and show support for those in the community who have been touched by cancer. Pre-registration for the Hope Walk is $15 and day-of-event registration is $20. The walk ends at Stewart’s Caring Place with food trucks, live music and much more fun.
WQMX’s Sue Wilson and WONE’s Tim Daugherty will continue to show support for Stewart’s during the Hope Walk by hosting the event live.
