On Friday April 1, the Cashmere Cricket in Cuyahoga Falls was a packed house. Attendees were there for a collaborative evening of spoken word, song, live music, photography, artwork, great food and drinks. Collide: Cuyahoga Falls and ArtsNow hosted the event.

“Ace” Epps emceed the evening and was the featured poet. Other area poets joined him on stage for spoken word: Sophie Hamad, Noor Hindi, Quinton “N’Sight” SpenceRay, Tyler Powell and Damien McClendon. Eboni Redsoul contributed to the evening with a beautiful rendition of “Summertime.” Live music was provided by Falls Music School. DJ, Isis Maat also provided some sounds to the evening.
Cuyahoga Falls photographer, Tim Fitzwater (Fitzwater Photography) exhibited several pieces of his work. Local artist, Kevin Smalley also exhibited and spent the evening live doodling to the music and poetry.
Light appetizers from Flury’s Café were provided for attendees to enjoy.

The audience added to the collaboration of the evening by participating in wet ink. They were given the writing prompt “love on the rocks,” and at the end of the event, they were given the opportunity to share their creations on stage.
