The most popular Countryside Chix event returns on Oct. 28, 6:30 p.m. at the Winery at Wolf Creek, where participants explore the tastes and pleasures of wine and cheese pairing with wine maker Carrie Bonvallet of Wolf Creek and cheese artisan Abbe Turner of Lucky Penny Creamery.
The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a guided tour, a stroll to the vineyard, and through the cellar with Winemaker Carrie Bonvallet. Participants will then sit back in the Great Room to enjoy five unique wine and cheese pairings, and listen to these amazing women in agriculture as they lead a fascinating discussion about how to taste each pairing, what they should look for in our wine and cheese, and what to consider when selecting for events.
As the holiday season approaches, participants will get information to host their own holiday parties with local pairings of Ohio Cheese & Wine.
The cost of this event is $40, and space is limited to the first 40 women registered. Net proceeds benefit Countryside Conservancy, a nonprofit partner of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, whose mission is to connect people, food, and land.
