Countryside Farmers’ Market at Highland Square takes place at the intersection of West Market and Conger Avenue in Akron. Located on an Akron Metro line, the market is also convenient to pedestrians, cyclists, and commuters. Local vendors will offer healthy fruits and vegetables, sustainable meats, handmade pasta, fresh roasted coffee and ready-to-eat foods. New vendors for the 2015 season include Akron Coffee Roasters; Cookie Cutter Cookies; Highland Pasta Company; and Three Sisters Momo.
Countryside Farmers’ Markets are free and open to the public. For purchases, customers may use cash, check, debit card, or the Ohio Direction Card. Ohio Direction Card holders are also eligible for Carrot Cash, a program that provides matching funds for purchases of fresh fruit and vegetables.
