When you bring home a beautifully hand-drawn portrait of your family or an A+ paper where do you put it for everyone in your house to see? Why, on the refrigerator of course!
The Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC), would love for the #CreativeSummit community to share their collection of treasures and accomplishments that adorn their fridges. For this show, one is only limited by their imagination. Refrigerator art is a new and booming trend as seen on Esty and Pintrest. Interested participants may submit a photograph of their refrigerator, in all its glory, in the size of 4- by 6-inch or 5- by 7-inch and no larger than 8- by 10-inch in size.
Each entry costs $10 to submit and a maximum of four entries will be accepted per participant.
Entries will be accepted on Friday, March 31 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Upon submission, CVAC will mount photos on an 8- by 10-inch board and then place it within a clear bag for hanging purposes. (Please do not attach entry information to the back of submitted photos.) Awards such as “Most Cluttered”, “Most Original” and “Best Transformation” will be presented at the “Refrigerator Show’s” reception on Friday April 14, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at CVAC for ages ranging from K-6, Middle School, High School & beyond High School. The reception will be catered and is free to the public.
If you are looking to let your creative juices flow whist enjoying the company of like-minded artists, then this is the show for you.
Please visit www.cvartcenter.org for more information on this exhibition, a copy of the entry form and a coupon to cut down on printing costs at Walgreens.
The CVAC is honored to continue their tradition of supporting our communities’ creative economy.
