On Jan. 20, a group of about 25 local artists, supporters of the arts and community members from Cuyahoga Falls gathered at the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center. There was a really great mix of talent from many different backgrounds in the room.

The goal of this meeting was to gather feedback regarding the art scene (if there is one) in Cuyahoga Falls and have a discussion about different opportunities for growth in the art and culture sector.
Nicole Mullet from ArtsNow, Molly Hartong from Molly Hartong Design and myself (Matt Weiss from Right Brain Design Group) facilitated the meeting; we are very happy with the energy and enthusiasm in the room that evening! After brief introductions and conversation about why the meeting was being held, the group broke up into three smaller groups and collaborated on answering some questions about the art and culture scene in the Falls. Everyone reconvened and discussed the responses from the group. A lot of great feedback!
A major point that was brought up was the need to create awareness within the community as a whole.

Moving forward, more discussions will be had and we are looking for more involvement from creatives and creative supporters to be a part of bringing more art and culture (and awareness) to the Cuyahoga Falls community.
We want to give a big “Thank You” to the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center for being such gracious hosts! Also, thank you to Urban Eats for a fantastic spread of food for the meeting. Another thank you to Nicole Mullet from ArtsNow for getting this meeting organized! Of course, thank you to all of the local artists and supporters that attended the meeting!
