“Loving Akron for Real: Moving from Frustrated to Fruitful,” will take place Saturday, April 2, 9 a.m., at the Alpha Center, 662 Wolf Ledges Pkwy.
The event will follow the Open Space Technology (OST) meeting approach, which begins without an overall formal agenda beyond an overall theme. At the meeting, participants to gather with local people of faith and goodwill to engage in the city’s challenges and opportunities. No outside experts. No national politicians. Just neighbors and citizens discussing the things they care about the most.
This event is sponsored by the Front Porch Fellowship. For information, e-mail [email protected] or call Pastor Duane Crabbs at (330) 819-2442.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Anthropologist Margaret Mead.
