The students of Windemere CLC will host the inaugural community-wide Windemere CLC PTA Color Run and Health Fair May 6, at the Ellet Community Center (2449 Wedgewood Dr.) with the Health Fair starting at 8 a.m. Registration for the Color Run will begin at 9 a.m., and the run will begin at 11 a.m.
The Color Run is an untimed course fun run for all ages and fitness abilities. Along the route, participants pass through vibrant color zones, making it a “colorful experience.” Additionally, each preregistered participant is provided with a single powder color packet that will be thrown in the air at the final color celebration at the finish line.
There will be outside vendors, entertainment and additional outdoor activities before the color run and during the color run for individuals who are not participating.
“Rather than sell goods, we want to engage the entire student body in a fitness initiative that aims to encourage a lifelong healthy way of living. We also want to have a health fair within the Ellet community to show residents the amazing resources available in the Ellet community, as well as the larger Akron community as a whole,” said Robert Jaeger, event organizer.
Parking is available at Hyre CLC, the Wedgewood United Methodist Church and the Acme parking lot. Business sponsorship opportunities are also available. Sign up for the run by visiting
