The Parent Coalition Heritage Fund for Adults with Special Needs is currently accepting applications for its first ever distribution of grants.
The field-of-interest fund was established with Akron Community Foundation in 2011 by the Parent Coalition for Persons with Disabilities. Grants of up to $1,200 will support organizations that educate residential staff about caring for adults with developmental disabilities and focus on enhancing residents’ quality of life.
Qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations should apply online by Feb. 1, 2016. A link to the online grant application is available at www.akroncf.org/ApplyParentCoalition. Grants will be announced in February.
