Start off your 2019 piping hot at the 41st edition of the Electric Pressure Cooker Cabaret!
“[The #EPCooker is] the trippiest open mic I’ve ever been to!” – Chelsea Blackerby
Through humble beginnings in the basement of the Every Blooming Thing flower shop in Highland Square, the #EPCooker is an artist driven event that sees over 50+ audience members, 20+ performers, and 4 non-stop hours of art. Anyone can sign up for a performance slot, as the event features musicians, theatre artists, improvisers, comedians, dancers, and much more.

Akron’s longest running “Anything Goes” open mic is returning to West Hill’s newest performance venue, The Akron Center for Art, Music, & Performance (118 W. Market St., Akron), on Saturday, Jan. 5 for a new year edition of the #EPCooker.
Join Wandering Aesthetics, the #EPCooker community, and their emcee– YouTuber Vanessa Michelle– at The Center as they celebrate Northeast Ohio’s homegrown talent. The #EPCooker invites performers of all ages and genres AND enthusiastic audience members to “come together… right now… over ART!”
The #EPCooker is a regularly occurring open mic that takes place on the FIRST SATURDAY of every month at The Center.
