The 14th Annual Halloween Charity Ball, presented by Steere, will take place on Friday, Oct. 27, from 8 p.m. to midnight at The Tangier, and organizers expect a sold-out, costumed crowd at the event.
The event includes a $500 costume contest grand prize, complements of Gavin Scott Salon and Spa. The costume contest will be open to all who self-register by 9:30 p.m. at the event, and will be judged by special guest judges.
The Ball also includes a DJ dance party, open bar, V.I.P. experience and food throughout the night. All proceeds benefit the two local charities Stewart’s Caring Place Cancer Wellness Center, which offers free services and programs to assist individuals and their families dealing with cancer and PechaKucha Akron, which hosts gatherings for community members from a variety of disciplines who present 20 images displayed for 20 seconds each.
“The Halloween Charity Ball offers an incredible opportunity to experience a ridiculously fun Halloween party while supporting two fabulous local charities,” said event co-founder Getta Kutuchief. “We guarantee that you won’t experience another Halloween event like this.”
The event also includes a raffle, with such prizes as a $500 VISA gift card, a stay at Nemicolon Spa and resort with $300 in spa credits and a trip to Seattle air/hotel. This is also complements of Gavin Scott Salon and Spa. The community may purchase tickets online and winners do not need to be present at the Ball.
The Tangier is located at 532 W. Market St. Tickets to the Ball, and raffle are available at halloweencharityball.org.
