Israeli Art Expo runs Nov. 28 through Dec. 1
The Bar Kochva Israeli Art Expo will feature more than 2,000 works of art from 45 Israeli artists including silver and gold jewelry; necklaces, pins, earrings and rings made with glass from ancient Israel; paintings; Judaica; ceramics and wood; sculpture and more. Each piece is exquisitely and uniquely handcrafted.
The Bar Kochva Israeli Art Expo is free and open to the community. Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m, Monday, Nov. 28 through Thursday, Dec. 1, in the lobby at the Shaw JCC of Akron, 750 White Pond Drive. Proceeds from the sale of the artwork will benefit the artists.
Bar Kochva is one of Israel’s most prominent and well-known artists, and his artwork collections have been displayed in galleries and fine stores around the world.
The Shaw JCC of Akron has been home to our community for over 80 years. Originally named the Jewish Center, the Shaw JCC fosters a safe and secure environment steeped in Jewish values. More than 6,000 individuals of all ages, religions and socio-economic backgrounds participate in a wide range of services offered including the Mandel Early Childhood Education Center, adult and senior adults programming, fitness center, full-service aquatics programs, 11-week summer camp and the Families Supporting Families scholarship program.
