Leadership Akron Class 32 is seeking letters of interest from nonprofit agencies and other organizations that support collaborative efforts that will positively impact the current opiate epidemic in Summit County.
The current Leadership Akron Class developed the Opiate Epidemic Impact Grant as the focus for its 2016 philanthropy project. The grant will apply to two or more organizations, at least one of which must be a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, that agree to form a collaborative effort or take on a project that addresses the opiate epidemic. The purpose of this grant is to encourage collaboration and innovation in order to address this significant and timely challenge.
Class 32 is offering a grant(s) totaling up to $10,000. The grant, made possible through the support of United Way of Summit County, will be awarded by June 2016.
The lead organization submitting the letter of interest must meet the following requirements: must be a 501(c) 3 organization located in Summit County, and must not currently employ any Leadership Akron Class 32 members.
