The Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation invites local residents and community leaders to save the date for its annual Festival of Trees event, which will take place Thursday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. at Weymouth Country Club in Medina.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of this signature community event, which kicks off the holiday season with live and silent auctions of uniquely decorated trees and other décor items, as well as dinner and wine.
Proceeds from the auction and ticket sales benefit the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund. The fund’s mission is to improve the lives of women and children in Medina County and to encourage philanthropy among them.
Recent grants from the fund have provided transportation to medical appointments for elderly and disabled women, supported an adapted toy lending library for children with disabilities, and provided domestic violence support groups in Medina County.
Corporate and individual sponsorships range from $100 to $3,000. The $3,000 presenting sponsorship includes prominent recognition at the event and eight complimentary tickets, among other benefits.
The fund is also accepting donations of live and silent auction items, including service packages, gift items, and festively decorated trees and décor items.
For more information about becoming a sponsor or donating an auction item, call Diane Meckes, Festival of Trees Committee co-chair, at 330-472-0458 or send an email to [email protected].
Tickets for the event will go on sale in September. To request your invitation, register for the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund’s e-news at www.akroncf.org/MCWEFnews.
