The Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation invites local residents and community leaders to save the date for its annual Festival of Trees event, which will take place Thursday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. at Weymouth Country Club.
The Festival of Trees kicks off the holiday season with live and silent auctions of uniquely decorated trees and other décor items, as well as dinner and wine. Proceeds from the auction and ticket sales benefit the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund. The fund’s mission is to improve the lives of women and children in Medina County and to encourage philanthropy among them.
Recent grants from the fund have provided adapted toys for children with disabilities, purchased prescription vouchers for women in poverty, and supported suicide prevention programs in Medina County high schools.
Corporate and individual sponsorships range from $100 to $3,000. The $3,000 presenting sponsorship includes prominent recognition at the event and eight complimentary tickets, among other benefits.
The fund is also accepting donations of live and silent auction items, including service packages, gift items, and festively decorated trees and décor items.
For more information about becoming a sponsor or donating an auction item, call Karen Glass, Festival of Trees Committee co-chair, at 216-339-6199 or send an email to [email protected].
Tickets for the event will go on sale in September. To request your invitation, register for the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund’s e-news at www.akroncf.org/MCWEFnews.
