Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens invites families to bring their mother (and grandmother) to enjoy a beautiful spring day on the Estate on Mother’s Day, May 14, 2017. All mothers receive a complimentary admission (accompanying family members pay regular admission prices), which includes a self-guided tour of the 65-room Manor House, the Corbin Conservatory, the Gate Lodge and the landscaped historic gardens. All tours are self-guided on Mother’s Day.
The 2017 season celebrates “Community-Not For Us Alone,” and the Seiberlings’ legacy that is still an influence in the community today.
“The Seiberling Legacy” is the new permanent exhibit about the Seiberling family on the lower level of the Manor House. Other attractions include Molly’s Shop for jewelry, apparel and other gifts, and the Café for lunch or dessert.
Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is open Tuesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (admissions closes at 4:30 p.m.), and the entire Estate is closed to the public on Mondays, except Memorial Day, and Labor Day when regular hours are in effect.
Stan Hywet is located at 714 N. Portage Path in Akron, Ohio. Visit stanhywet.org for more information.
