#MusicMonday is back, and today’s featured band is Me Time and The Raging Crush, an Akron-based six-piece garage/psychedelic band.
According to the band’s website, “Influenced by ’60s psych, ’70s punk and a never-ending daisy chain of guitar effects, Me Time and The Raging Crush bring the sounds of outer space to your home speakers.” They offer a sonic throwback, with a multimedia experience live, with a strong visual presence also found in the band’s videos.
Band members are Eric Blankenhorn, Jeff Soper, Fred Johnson, Ian Cummins, Kevin Braun and Chrissy Spangler. Produced by Fone Records, in Akron, you can find the band’s music on vinyl, CD and digital downloads.
Along with two albums, Me Time and The Raging Crush have also created over two dozen videos to accompany their audio recordings. Above is the video for “Fetch My Gold,” produced by George Blankenhorn, the unofficial seventh member of the band.
