Local grocery chain Mustard Seed Market now offers curbside pickup service to its customers at both its Montrose and Highland Square locations. The service is available seven days a week during normal business hours, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“I am very excited to offer this service to our customers. While we continue to uphold extremely high sanitation standards within our stores, it’s very important to us that we embrace our customers’ desire to feel safe and adapt the way we do business,” said Gabe Nabors, CEO of Mustard Seed. “Our curbside service is very basic, but we fully intend improve it and listen to the needs of our customers. Looking into the future, the launch of a delivery service is imminent. Estimates for establishing a delivery platform are six weeks, however we are determined to beat that projection by a long shot.”
Additionally, Mustard Seed has installed plexiglass shields at each checkout lane to protect both customers and associates, is requiring all cashiers to use gloves, and has taped down reference points at service counters and checkout lanes to encourage social distancing. The store also has instituted a temporary “no returns” policy and is discouraging the use of reusable bags at this time as a precautionary measure.

“The choice to suspend our returns policy and discourage the use of reusable bags is one I do not take lightly,” Nabors added. “Exceptional customer service and environmental stewardship are both among our core values at Mustard Seed. While our commitment to these remain steadfast, the health and safety of our customers is our number one priority.”
