The Mustill Store Museum is hosting a Holiday Extravaganza Dec. 3 and 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. including an Oatmeal Cookie Baking Contest on the 3. Book signings with local authors and the opportunity to purchase unique gifts for will also be available both days. Admission is free.

If an entry has nuts or fruits of any kind, the recipe must be clearly marked. Judges are local celebrities Lisa King (executive director, Summit MetroParks), Tara Mosley-Samples (Akron Ward 5 Representative), Jason Segedy (City of Akron Director of Planning and Urban Development) and Joanna Wilson (Author and Artist). Prize money will be based on the number of entries.
Local authors will be on site to sign their books. December 3 authors are Joanna Wilson (“The Story of Archie The Talking Snowman” and “A is for Akron”) and Jason Segedy (“Akron Anthology”). On Dec. 10, authors Mark Price (“Lost Akron”), Marilyn Seguin (variety of books), and Deb Lape (“Looking for Lizzie: The True Story of an Ohio Madam)” will be on hand.
Among the vendors will be Urban Buzz, Five Hive, Damsel Candles, Thanks Marge!, Don Schulz (primitive birdhouses), Chloe+Isabel jewelry (Katie Miller), Rubber City Soaps, sewn items by Summit DD, picture cards, art, walking sticks by Wayne Beachy, Akron-themed postcards by Jean Trawick and Mud Buddies. In addition, the store stocks unique books, postcards of local attractions, blue Santas, marbles and more.
