Event takes place June 12 at Summit Artspace
— Nominations are open for the Arts Alive Awards, which honor local artists, educators and arts advocates who bring art to life, through their own efforts or in the community.
The awards will be part of Summit Artspace’s biennial Arts Alive fundraiser, Tuesday, June 12 at Summit Artspace in downtown Akron, and will include outstanding artist awards in dance, music, theatre and visual arts; lifetime achievement; emerging artist; and collaborative projects, as well as numerous advocate awards, including rising leader, volunteer, educator, patron, outreach and diversity.

Arts Alive Awards and Fundraiser will be the ninth biennial event. Summit Artspace is located at 140 E. Market St.
Guests will also be able to bid on unique, handcrafted art in the Out-of-the-Box Auction. Individual tickets are $100, and there are a variety of sponsorship opportunities available. All proceeds from the event support the galleries and programming at Summit Artspace.
