Now that the North Akron Market is up and running, the planners are seeking more vendors and musicians for this weekly opportunity. John Ughrin, executive director of the North Akron Community Development Corp., says the nonprofit, along with help from the Exchange House Akron and other partners, has built enclosed stalls for entrepreneurs seeking to sell their goods, whether it’s art, crafts, food or other items. The stalls eliminate the need for vendors to bring tents or other weather cover. The market is organized by Exchange House Akron, Hibernians, North Akron CDC and Shanti Farms. The market takes place every Saturday through the end of September, 2 to 7 p.m., at 761 N. Main St. For info on vending and signing up to perform, visit www.northakroncdc.org.
