The Office of Reentry is partnering with Truly Reaching You Ministries to broaden outreach in the community to host an Angel Tree Celebration. During the holidays, local churches and organizations collaborate on the Angel Tree Project, which enables the children of incarcerated individuals to receive a Christmas gift on behalf of their incarcerated parent/guardian. The event takes place Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ohio Means Jobs Center, 1040 E. Tallmadge Ave.
The agencies anticipate filling a great need by providing approximately 300 children with gifts this year. Residents are asked to consider sponsoring a child or making a financial donation. Each gift should value between $25 to $60 per child so that each child receives an item of equal quality. All monetary donations and gifts are due by Nov. 28. If you’d like to donate or be a sponsor, contact Bobbi Snider at Office of Reentry, by emailing [email protected] or calling (330) 630-6071.
