Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron announces the first performance for the 2014 – 2015 concert series. On Oct. 24, The Ohio State University Women’s Glee Club, under the direction of conductor Dr. Kristina MacMullen, will perform at 7:30 p.m., in the church’s chapel, located at 50 N. Prospect St. (behind Haven of Rest Ministries). The concert is free and open to the public.
Established in 1903, this ensemble had the distinction of being the first musical organization to appear in concert at the university’s Mershon Auditorium. Currently over 100 voices strong, membership in the Women’s Glee Club is by audition and is represented by a wide variety of majors.
