THEATER – Greek for “The Seeing Place.”
As audience members, we go “to see” many performances right here in our backyards. But theatre isn’t just created in the United States, it travels well beyond…
Theatre Around The World seeks to explore different types of theatre from all across the globe. From Japan to Nigeria and beyond, students will get a small taste of the diversity of this art form.
Using theatrical exercises, games, crafts and music from other cultures, Theatre Around The World will investigate how the craft has grown and developed in different regions across the world.
The class will culminate in a final presentation based on the students’ exploration of theatre around the world.
*There will be a final presentation on Saturday, November 19th*

Entire Session: $175 (Sale: $160)
“Give a man a mask and he will tell you the truth.” – Oscar Wilde
Masks have played a central role in ceremonies and rituals throughout time. Even today, masks have incredible importance to our culture. Masks can act as a powerful instrument for both the actor and the audience, providing the performer a sense of freedom and expression otherwise not felt.
unMASKed will explore this potential as students will be asked to work with neutral masks, discovering their own confidence and creativity. Students will learn to work physically, using their bodies to help facilitate the storytelling process.
The class will culminate in a final presentation the students will develop based on their work with the masks.
