‘Back to the Future’ kicks off series July 27
— The Pritt Entertainment Group (PEG) has recently announced a partnership with the Nightlight Cinema to show four of its favorite movies from the last few decades. The series will be titled PEG Picks and will select films from the ’80s, ’90s, 2000s and 2010s.
The series will kick off with “Back to the Future” (the ’80s pick) Thursday, July 27 at 6:30 p.m. Tickets will range from $7 to 9.
The Nightlight will show the films on a quarterly basis over the next few months. Producer Andrew Nalette believes this selection will get people through the Nightlight’s doors and excited for what’s to come. When asked about what makes the film so special, Nalette said, “We felt that this movie was the perfect example of ’80s film making. It is a massive technological achievement. Great special effects and great editing. Such clean camera movement. These are all reasons people still love it today.”
He said the next PEG pick will be shown at the end of October and will be a ’90s horror classic.
The Nightlight Cinema is located at 30 N. High St. in downtown Akron.
