Open House takes place June 10, 11 and 13
Real.Edge.Dance, Summit County’s only professional modern dance company, announces a huge milestone for the company as it enters its fifth season. RED recently established the RED Dance Center located in Hudson.
A series of open houses will take place June 10 and 11 (3 to 6 p.m.) and June 13, 9 a.m. to noon. RED Dance Center is located at 1691 Georgetown Road, Suite H, in Hudson.
Supported by The Burton D. Morgan Foundation, The Mary S. and David C. Corbin Foundation, The Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation and community patrons, the RED Dance Center is the official residence of Real.Edge.Dance and the new “RED School of Modern Dance,” as well as housing Physique Kinetics LLC, a Pilates training business offering private classes in mat, reformer, chair and group mat classes.
“RED” is a nonprofit organization whose mission of the RED School of Modern Dance is to expand and strengthen the genre of modern dance arts education. The RED School of Modern Dance will serve all ages and levels of dance and fitness experience of both recreational and professional dancers’ craft of artistic development in expression and movement technique. The RED School of Modern Dance is part of RED’s outreach in arts education to the community.
The RED School of Modern Dance will offer daily modern dance technique classes and other genres such as ballet, modern-ballet fusion, creative movement and jazz for all ages and levels of experience as well as upcoming summer intensives for the community. The Dance Center is the first of its kind in the greater Akron area that focuses emphasis on the education of modern dance. Located just a few miles south from downtown Hudson, the RED Dance Center is a state-of-the-art facility.
