A document shredding and recycling event will take place Saturday, May 6, at ReWorks’ Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center, 1201 Graham Road in Stow, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event is free to Summit County residents and businesses but there is a limit of 10 file boxes or 10 paper shopping bags per vehicle. According to ReWorks, shredding confidential information to protect personal information and sensitive data is one step toward protecting yourself from identity theft. Plus, it is a good way to keep paper out of the waste stream and local landfill.
No household hazardous waste will be collected at this event. Complete event details can be found at summitreworks.com/shredding. ReWorks will host additional free on-site document shredding and recycling events June 3 in Fairlawn, July 8 in Macedonia, Aug. 5 in Green, Sept. 9 in Barberton and Oct. 7 in Akron.
