Ryan Weiss started his company, rockEVERYwear, like many in Akron: organically, making one T-shirt at a time. Now, almost 10 years later, his company engages in a visible and unique marketing strategy — an eclectically designed truck that has the appearance of a food truck, but sells fashion to the masses.
We recently caught up with the business owner at Rockin’ on the River in Cuyahoga Falls.
“I want to do this every day, selling to the people that appreciate what we do,” said Weiss, who originally started out buying and repurposing concert T-shirts. “It’s so much more rewarding than buying online.”
Some of the company’s T-shirt designs pay homage to local staples like the Akron Rubberducks baseball team, Akron Diversity and the “Heart of Ohio.”
