Show opens Feb. 10
— Rubber City Shakespeare Company continues to honor the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death with this rarely performed fairy-tale like play. This exciting show tells the tale of a King, his long lost sons, an evil queen with a poisoned apple and a young heroine who takes her destiny into her own hands.
Directed by Producing Artistic Director, Dane CT Leasure, “Cymbeline” is the perfect fairy-tale adventure for adults, just in time for St. Valentine’s Day.
The production opens on Feb. 10, with Rubber City Shakespeare Company’s traditional Pay-As-You- Like-It performance, in which admission charges are waived thanks to our generous supporters. Audiences are encouraged to “pay as you like it” or donate what they can after the show.
“Cymbeline” runs Thursday through Sunday through Feb. 26. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday performances begin at 2 p.m.
All performances will be located at The Well, CDC, located at 647 East Market Street (Akron locals will recognize it as the old First Presbyterian Church). Tickets also are available at www.rubbercityshakes.com/tickets or by calling (234) 252-0272.
