Rubber City Theatre is currently featuring William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” through Feb. 25 at The Black Box at Fort Romig. The classic story is set in the 1930s for this particular production.
The comedic romance finds Viola shipwrecked in a foreign town. Unsure of her fate, she dresses up like a man and finds employment in the court of the handsome Duke Orsino, with whom she falls in love. The Duke, however, dotes on Olivia. Yet, Olivia begins to have feelings for the dressed up Viola.
Artistic Director Dane CT Leasure, a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, brings together a talented group of designers, performers and crew to stage this humorous and entertaining mixed-up love story.
“Twelfth Night” runs through Feb. 25. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performances start at 2:30 p.m. All performances are located at The Black Box at Fort Romig (2207 Romig Road, Akron).
