The Salvation Army is recruiting volunteer bell-ringers for the upcoming holiday season, the organization’s most visible fundraiser of the year.
Volunteer bell ringers are needed Nov. 10 until Dec. 23, Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
During this time, volunteers are needed for as many two- or three-hour shifts as possible to ring at one of 44 locations throughout Summit County.
This will help the Salvation Army with its local efforts to assist children, families and neighbors in their moments of crisis.
Businesses, families, civic organizations, neighbors, churches, students, bridge clubs and sports teams are all encouraged to sign up to help raise funds to change lives.
“Volunteer bell ringers fulfill a vital role each year during our annual Christmas kettle campaign,” said Scott Robishaw, volunteer coordinator for The Salvation Army, Summit County Area Services. “This year we’ll need hundreds of volunteer bell ringers to cover 9,000 hours of kettle time.”
To sign-up to ring the bells, call Scott at (330) 434-7365, email [email protected] or visit oh.salvationarmy.org/Akron-Summit/bellringer.
