The Salvation Army of Summit County will present its world–famous New York Staff Band Friday, Oct. 14, 7 p.m. at the Akron-Summit County Public Library Auditorium, 60 S. High Street.
The performances of this 30-piece all-amateur ensemble, recently back from a tour of Cuba, have “panache and stylistic swagger” (4barsrest.com), and have earned them a reputation as one of the world’s best brass bands.
Akron is one of many stops on the U.S. tour.
Free parking is provided in the attached City deck, 40 S. High St., for
this event. Doors will open to the general public at 6:30 p.m. The performance is free of charge with no assigned seating, but you must have a ticket to enter.
Online tickets are available at http://bit.ly/2aztiRf or at www.salvationarmyakron.org and the Facebook site. Seats will be available on a first-come, first served basis until gone.
