Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens’ annual Plant Sale begins Saturday, May 18 at 10 a.m. in the Courtyard near Molly’s Shop. A variety of plants, including Stan Hywet’s Homegrown Series of decorative containers and baskets, are available for purchase through June 2.
The plant sale includes a wide array of perennials, grown from divisions from plants in the historic Great Garden. Plants for sale will also include herbs, cactus and succulents and annuals, including a large selection of lisianthus.
“Gardeners who purchase annuals and perennials from Stan Hywet get the healthiest plants around, while also supporting Stan Hywet,” said Tom Hrivnak, superintendent of the estate.
Stan Hywet members may purchase plants one day earlier on May 17, by showing their membership card.

Molly’s business hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Molly’s and the estate are also open on Memorial Day. Stan Hywet is located at 714 North Portage Path, in Akron.
There is no admission for guests who are shopping at the Plant Sale and/or Molly’s and not taking a tour. Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is open for Manor House and grounds tours Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The last entry to the estate is 4:30 p.m. For info, visit www.stanhywet.org.
