The Summit of Faiths, Oct. 1 and 2, will be a platform for interfaith dialogue, community and celebration. The summit seeks to bring people of different faith backgrounds together to celebrate the varied traditions in the area, and to work together on issues facing the greater Akron community.
It’s a place where people of whatever tradition they follow, whatever path they are on, can come together and create community, what Dr. Martin Luther King called the Beloved Community, where people of all backgrounds worked together to lessen the suffering of those around us. There are sure to be some deeply powerful conversations and discussions.
