Summit Food Coalition is hosting its inaugural Savor the Summit: Celebrating Local Food, Brews, and Heroes event and fundraiser Tuesday, Sept. 26, which will help the organization continue its mission of improving healthy food access for Summit County residents and providing opportunities for farmers and food-based entrepreneurs.
The event will take place at HiHO Brewing Company in Cuyahoga Falls, 1707 Front St., and include local food and brews, along with live music from The Gage Brothers. A cash bar will be available.
The Coalition will also present its first-ever Local Food Hero Award during the event. The award honors an individual or group who has made a major contribution to local food in Summit County.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $45 pre-sale or $50 at the door (there are limited door tickets), and may be purchased through the Coalition’s website: summitfoodcoalition.org/upcoming-events.
