Wrinkles, rolls and smooshy faces are back to take over One of A Kind Pet Rescue’s backyard for the second round of Akron Pug Fest.
This fundraising event is coordinated to raise awareness for pet adoption, through One of A Kind Pet Rescue and Ohio Pug Rescue, with the proceeds benefiting both organizations. Pug Fest takes place Sunday, Oct. 8, from noon to 4 p.m. at One of A Kind Pet Rescue, 1929 West Market St.
Activities include pug costume contests, nail trims, pug caricatures, live interactive pug mural with local artist Matt Miller, photo opportunities and raffle baskets, among other activities.
Throughout the day, DJ Julian Curet will be on-site playing Pug Rock for attendees. Handmade and local goodies will be available to purchase, courtesy of Crafty Mart, and Happy Camper Bar Car will be at the event with beer and specialty pug-inspired cocktails. Stray Dog Food Cart, Square Scullery and Western Fruit Basket also will provide eats and treats for purchase.
One of A Kind Pet Rescue, Silveroak Landcare, Stray Dog Carts, Café, & Condiments, Happy Camper Bar Car, Crafty Mart and rockEVERYwear Apparel & Arts are all current supporters and sponsors of this year’s event.
