The University of Akron (UA) Theatre Arts Program invites high school students to Spring 2015 High School Drama Day March 7, in Guzzetta Hall on campus. The event begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at approximately 4 p.m.
This engaging and free event is for sophomore, junior and senior high school students and home-schooled students who are interested in theatre arts. Teachers, advisers and parents are also welcome. Students will participate in physical, vocal and ensemble exercises and learn about design, technical theatre and career opportunities.
That afternoon, participants will see a performance of the UA Theatre Arts Program’s production of Garcia Lorca’s “Blood Wedding,” translated by American poet Langston Hughes, in Sandefur Theatre in Guzzetta Hall.
