Wayne Gordon, the Chairman of the Christian Community Development Association (ccda.org) will come to Akron for a two-day event this weekend. On April 4 at 7 p.m., Gordon, along with Jennifer Mekel Jones and Gospel Meets Symphony, will take part in a Christian Community Development Ministry Fair, featuring Broken Chains, Christian Healthcare Ministries, First Glance and Love Akron, Urban Vision and the Neighborhood Network, among others.
The Christian Community Development Association (CCDA) is one of the most diverse city ministry networks in the country, according to organizers, who add the group lives out the gospel of Billy Graham and Martin Luther King Jr. in our most challenging neighborhoods.
Gordon and local ministry leaders also will host a CCDA workshop April 5, from 9 am. to 3 p.m. at 749 Blaine Ave. Pre-registration for the workshop is $15, and cost is $20 at the door. To register, visit www.urbanministry.org.
