Wheels4Change, a nonprofit dedicated to honor our fallen and support military families and veterans, will host its fifth annual Remembrance Fitness Event this Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Kent State Student Recreation & Wellness Center.
Wheels4Change: Remembrance Fitness Event, formerly called the Pedals for Heroes, is an annual indoor fundraiser on the last Sunday in February to honor the men and women who sacrificed for our freedom.
For two hours, participants may ride, walk, or row, individually or as part of a team, as a physical manifestation of our thanks to these courageous men and women who remind us why we’re free. The group has received so much support for its first year that it decided to make it an annual event that would not only honor our fallen but also allow the community to rally in support of our Families Of The Fallen and the veterans who came home.
Wheels4Change believes that by unifying with communities across Ohio, and across the nation, we will help ensure Families Of The Fallen know their loved one is never forgotten.
Opening ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m. and the event will begin at noon and 2 p.m. The suggested donation is $25.
Kent State Student Recreation & Wellness Center is located at 1550 Ted Boyd Dr., in Kent. 1
